How to spend time with your children at home – at work and in distance education

Surely you are a parent of a child who needs to study at a distance, with all the work commitments and essential household chores to keep up with? Don’t worry, the key is good organisation!

In the face of a pandemic that is spreading around the world, many parents have become supernaturally empowered – they are mums and dads, teachers and real homemakers. By staying at home, they are in contact with their partners and children 24/7, and how on earth do they find time for themselves in all this? In the morning, mums draw up a programme of things to do during the day and suddenly evening and exhaustion creep in. But how can we motivate children to do their schoolwork as independently as possible, while also doing something useful with their free time?

Flow of commitments through the day

Make time for your family in the morning. Have breakfast together, say nice things to each other, listen to each other, even do a group family exercise. In this way, your family will bond, children will feel a sense of belonging and trust in their parents. When your child’s distance learning starts, use the time to work or cook lunch. During this time, only be available if your child asks you to be, otherwise it is a good idea for him/her to learn to do things online independently to expand his/her knowledge, build self-esteem and learn to concentrate.

When distance learning is finished, there is a rest period. Give your children time to have fun-playing games, reading a book, or even playing as a family Unikatoy board games . They provide genuine family gatherings, train concentration, strengthen logical thinking, stimulate the positive development of problem-solving skills, etc. Choose from raffle, Man Don’t Get Angry, boats, make a word, 4 in a row, etc.

After a long break, it’s time for children to use their free time to do something useful. Offer them creative toys such as Plasticine Noodle, Unikatoy, which is great for the positive development of your child’s creativity, finomotor skills, and above all, stimulates their unwavering imagination. Remember that good hobbies have a positive impact on later learning at school. Clementoni puzzles are also a great choice for spending free time, as they will delight you with their varied motifs and encourage your children to put them together – this way, children learn to concentrate, are encouraged to solve problems, find the right puzzle piece and have better finomotor skills.

As afternoon turns to evening, it’s time to sleep. At bedtime, offer your children Piqipi interactive quiet books . The handmade Piqipi didactic interactive textile bookis a so-called quiet book for children to play with and learn a lot at the same time. In the book, children encounter, feel and rearrange different materials and objects, improving their sense of touch, strengthening their imagination and developing their fine motor skills.

And for a more pleasant dream, there are beautiful plush teddy bears that have been children’s best friends for centuries! Choose the right one for your little ones here.
