Children and identification with heroes
Book and cartoon heroes
When children start reading or watching animated series, they often identify with their favourite book or cartoon characters. It’s an interesting, imaginative journey that brings lots of good things to your child, so encourage them to do it! Books make life better for young children and adults alike, so it’s important to take only the best and most beautiful things from them. Books encourage children to become independent. Want to know how? Read on.

Cartoon or book characters teach children independence
Every child who reads literature or watches an animated series meets a hero – and heroes teach children to be independent. Children identify with them and start to act like them, so it’s important to choose an encouraging hero, one from whom they can learn new things and, at the same time, progress in their development with the skills they learn. Children experience and think like the protagonist through the hero. But how do parents encourage their children to watch an animated series or read a book? By asking them questions like“What is your favourite book”, “What is your favourite hero?” or “Do you want to be brave like him?”. These questions encourage children to think, improve their communicative function and enhance their imagination.

Fairy tales as an important foundation for children’s development
Fairy tales are also the area that has the greatest impact on children in their early years.
They affect his:
- personal,
- Moral
- as well as on a socio-emotional level.
- They are a quality source for developing competences such as literacy and language skills. Fairy tales awaken many images in the child , which are imprinted on his inner being and speak to him with all the wisdom they have to offer. They exist in his world as a living source of life lessons. They should be encouraged to draw their own lessons from the fairy tale, because each child can do it in his or her own way, and that’s the right way to do it. Fairytale characters often have a positive effect on them, as they teach them to express their emotions, which is essential for further development, as children will be able to express their feelings easily. Through fairy tales, they learn critical and abstract thinking skills, recognise meaning and the power of consequences.

Encourage children to read or watch animated series and let their imagination run wild. This is the only way they will make progress, strengthen their imagination and creativity, and acquire the important ability to express their emotions.
A book for the little ones
Cheer up your child with a handmade didactic interactive Piqipi textile book, which is a so-called quiet book for children to play with and learn a lot at the same time. In the book, children encounter, feel and explore different materials and objects, thus improving their sense of touch, enhancing their imagination and developing their fine motor skills. You will find them here.
