Night light for a peaceful night’s sleep for children

I’m sure there is a parent among us who has heard, “Mummy, don’t turn off the light because I’m scared to sleep in the dark” or“Daddy, leave the door to the room open“.
Children need a cosy, comfortable place to sleep that soothes them and makes them feel relaxed.
A good night’s sleep leads to favourable mental and motor development and has an important influence on brain development. During the first three months, it is a good idea to stay in your baby’s room until he falls asleep, after which he is able to fall asleep on his own. Of course, this does not mean that he will sleep alone and there is no key milestone at which he should be left to sleep alone. When you see signs of tiredness, simply put him in his cot and you can stay by his side until he falls asleep if he wants.
Children have many ways of being lulled to sleep and falling asleep, but beware – if you teach your baby to fall asleep only if you rock, sing to or feed him beforehand, he may get used to it very quickly and expect it later.

Signs that your baby is sleepy:
- A baby rubs its eyes or strokes its ears with its hand,
- Moaning, groaning, crying,
- Staring, yawning, stretching,
- Calm and silence,
- Dark circles around the eyes.
Night lights as a great tool for a peaceful and relaxing sleep
Even if light doesn’t have the best effect on the quality of your sleep, sometimes a night light is still a pretty good emergency solution. The calm, soft light, accompanied by gentle music, stimulates the production of the hormone melatonin, which is the key to calming the parasympathetic nervous system and leading to sleep. If your child has nightmares, fears of sleeping alone or of sleeping in the dark, a night light can give them a sense of security, which is of course extremely important for good quality sleep and leads to a positive development.
The night light will become your child’s true ally, chasing away monsters during the night and sure to calm him down.

Firefly-shaped night light, Clementoni
This beautiful and handy firefly-shaped night light is perfect for little ones who can’t sleep at night. A cute firefly with gentle light effects, it flashes to the rhythm of the heartbeat, creating a soothing atmosphere for baby and lulling him to sleep.
The light effects and sounds of the night light have been carefully studied to help children sleep better. Music and soft light become the distinctive signals that it’s time for bed. The light has 2 switches to use: a music mode and a light effects button.
The music mode offers up to 15 minutes of classical music by composers such as Johannes Brahms, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven or Erik Satie.
Soft and gentle lighting effects are on the wings or body of the firefly, while on the head multi-coloured. If you switch on all 5 of the light effects, one of them will switch off every 5 minutes: first the firefly body, then the wings and finally the head with the music. The special lighting system, which shines on transparent particles, gives this toy a wonderful aesthetic value and makes the little firefly even more magical. The night light is designed so that you can hang it on your bed or simply place it on your bedside table. A night light gives children a sense of comfort and has a positive effect on the development of the brain and the emotional world.
